Collins Galleries Summer Salon

Representational Art in a New England Town

Collins Galleries is a beautifully appointed art gallery in the center of Cape Cod and offers some of the finest artwork produced today. Owner Alison Collins established the business in a coastal classic house in 2011 as a place to showcase the work of accomplished representational artists who prefer to work directly from life.

Red Tail Hawk - oil, 16 x 20"

Mother's Day - oil, 11 x 14"

Elegance - Egret - oil, 11 x 14"

The gallery is located in Orleans, Massachusetts, a popular coastal destination on Cape Cod that attracts heavy tourism during the summer months. I am honored to be invited to submit my work for the Summer Salon, a group exhibition running from July 14 to 28 with an opening reception Saturday evening, July 14 from 5 to 7 pm. All are welcome.

The pieces I have submitted to the salon reflect a fascination with wildlife, especially birds, and offer a portrait-like presentation that brings the subject close. Viewed in a simple composition, the paintings offer a peaceful way to appreciate the intricate beauty of these fragile creatures, many of whom struggle to survive in a world increasingly used up by man's continued growth and sometimes careless way of treating their surroundings.

For more information visit the Collins Galleries website or call 508-255-1266. The gallery is located at 12 West Road, Orleans, Cape Cod, MA. You can also email them at info@collinsgalleries.com
